Taiwanese legislator Fan Yun participated via video in a hearing organized by the U.S. Congressional-Executive Commission on China (CECC). She testified about the escalating threats of Chinese political warfare and transnational repression against Taiwan. Fan Yun highlighted Taiwan's robust civil society and their determination to defend democracy, noting that citizen-led recall movements were initiated in response to these threats. During the hearing, U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan emphasized the importance of addressing China's political warfare and transnational suppression tactics, also mentioning his friendship with Taiwan's Representative to the U.S., Hsiao Bi-khim.
